Campaign & Pledging

When will stretch goals be revealed?
The first batch of stretch goals will be revealed after the initial funding goal is hit. Further details will be released throughout the campaign.

What pledge manager are you using?
BackerKit. Once the Kickstarter campaign ends and surveys are ready, you'll be able to add items and input your shipping address.

How do I manage or add on to my pledge?
Log into Kickstarter and click "Manage My Pledge" in the top right. Click "Change Your Pledge," then the "Pledge $xx" button. On the "Change Your Reward" page, select your desired add-ons and click "Confirm Change." Note: Do not refresh the page during high-traffic periods or you may lose your pledge change.

Are taxes and duties included with my pledge?
Applicable taxes are included for the US, Canada, EU, UK, and AU. Rewards will be sent duty-free from within these regions. Additional duties or fees charged by other countries are the responsibility of the backer.

Will these box sets ever be released outside this campaign?
There are currently no plans to release these Kickstarter-exclusive box sets or faux-leather bound compendiums outside of Kickstarter. Softcover versions of the compendiums will be available through retail outlets.

Why are these box sets being released through Kickstarter?
Kickstarter allows Skybound to partner with the community to create a high-end, limited-edition collectible. Standard versions remain available at local comic shops and bookstores.

Fulfillment & Shipping

When will I receive my rewards?
The estimated fulfillment date for domestic (US) orders is December 2026, subject to change. International fulfillment will likely occur in early 2027.

Is shipping included in the pledge total?
Yes. Shipping costs are automatically added to your pledge based on your selected tier and territory. We charge shipping upfront to avoid surprises after the campaign closes.

What if my items arrive damaged?
Email gijoekickstarter@skybound.com immediately. Include your Order ID, photos of the damaged items, and photos of the external packaging.

Do you ship to Military APO/FPO addresses?
Yes. While standard North American shipments use FedEx, APO/FPO orders are shipped via USPS.

Why haven't I received a tracking number yet?
Orders ship in waves due to high volume. You will receive tracking details via email as soon as your specific label is printed.

How do I update my shipping address?
Update your address in BackerKit until the official address lock. If moving to a different shipping zone changes your costs, contact us for a credit or refund.

What if I use Apple ID ("Hide My Email")?
Apple's "Hide My Email" feature may filter out essential emails. Please monitor Kickstarter updates or provide a secondary email address to gijoekickstarter@skybound.com for tracking.

Retailer Information

Will these be available at retail?
Softcover versions of Volumes 1–4 are currently at retail. Softcover versions of Volumes 5–8 arrive in 2026. The faux-leather hardcovers and hinged box set with art by Andy Kubert and Brad Anderson are only available through this campaign.

Do retailers get a discount on limited-edition tiers?
No. Because limited tiers are extremely restricted, we cannot offer them at a discounted rate.

How do retailers communicate their order needs?
You can order items in BackerKit. You will also receive an email before BackerKit opens to provide an estimate of the quantities you want.

Product Specifications

Can I buy extra copies of these books?
Yes. You can add multiple copies as add-ons during the campaign or through BackerKit afterward.

Can I get the compendiums without the box?
No. This Kickstarter exclusive is only offered as complete box sets.

What is the trim size of the G.I. Joe Compendium HCs?
6.625" x 10.1875".

What is the page count of each compendium?
Each volume ranges from 1,200 to 1,224 pages.

What paper stock is used?
Premium 80gsm Ivory uncoated wood-free pure paper.

Can I mix and match Joe and Cobra books?
No. It is not possible to mix and match books inside the box sets.

What format are the digital editions?
PDF.

Have files been remastered?
We sourced available files from Hasbro. G.I. Joe Order of Battle #1–4 and G.I. Joe Special #1 have been restored. There are no plans for further restoration.

How is gutter loss handled for such thick books?
We have formatted all pages to ensure little to no gutter loss.

Refund Policy

Can I get a refund after the campaign closes?
We follow Kickstarter guidelines. You may request a refund while the campaign is live. Once it ends, we are unable to issue refunds.

Special Items

I am eligible for the Kickstarter-exclusive #244 variant. How do I get it?
If you backed previous G.I. Joe or Transformers Compendium campaigns by Skybound or signed up for the mailing list, the card will be automatically added to your pledge in BackerKit after the campaign ends. For additional questions, contact gijoekickstarter@skybound.com.
